A Product, a Podcast, and Something to Ponder

If you’re new here, which a lot of you are 👋, this week’s email is not our normal practical marketing / business tip. This week, I’m sharing something a little more personal. I don’t do this often, but I felt like these random three things were too good not to pass along. Don’t worry—we’ll be back to the regular programming next week. For now, here’s a product, a podcast, and a thought I can’t stop pondering:

The Skincare Product That’s Changing the Game

If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with skincare. Have been my whole life, actually. 10000000/1000000 nights I’m doing the full skincare routine, not missing a step. It’s probably psychotic, but I can’t imagine how some of you people can go to sleep with makeup on. It’s a crime!

This serum, the Arencia Holy Hyssop Serum 30 to be specific, is packed with natural ingredients like barley and centella to soothe and brighten your skin. It’s lightweight, hydrating, and has instantly become my ride or die. Sorry for the infomercial, but I just can’t not tell you about a product this amazing. The best part? It’s only $24 and available on Amazon, so you're welcome!!!

The Podcast That’s Changing My Theology

I’ve been DEEP into the BEMA Discipleship podcast, and let me tell you—it’s also changing my life… in a much more impactful way than my new serum. 😂

Now, I’ll be honest—the delivery takes some getting used to (think two monotone male voices), but the content? Absolutely worth it. I’m on Season 2 and averaging at least one episode a day because I just can’t get enough.

This podcast is completely reshaping how I think about God and his character, correcting a lot of what I thought I knew. 🤯 If you’ve ever wanted to go deeper in your understanding of the Scriptures, I can’t recommend it enough. Here's a description of the podcast from their website: "The BEMA Podcast is a walk-through of the context of the Bible and the Text itself, as well as surrounding history. We deconstruct our common readings of the Bible [AKA our American, twenty first century lens] and attempt to reconstruct them through the lens of historical context."

P.S. If you’re intrigued and want to start a book club (but make it a podcast) to dig into this together, hit reply and let’s do it!

A Thought to Ponder: Your Business as a Living Thing

Over the nearly eight years since launching Sela Vie—and especially the past two and a half years of navigating motherhood alongside it—my business has taken some unexpected turns. Today, I find myself leaning into more in-person connections, forging deeper collaborations, and focusing on bespoke brand strategy. We’ve reworked our offerings, processes, and platforms so many times it almost feels like déjà vu—this last brand refresh is our fourth, after all. I’ll admit, there are moments I wonder if I should be embarrassed by all the evolution.

But here’s what I’m coming to understand: businesses, like living things, aren’t meant to be rigid. They breathe, expand, contract, and adapt, just like we do. In fact, their very vitality depends on it. There’s an inherent tension between wanting stability and the reality that true growth lies in continuous transformation. The more we resist this ebb and flow, the more we bind ourselves to outdated expectations.

So, here’s my challenge for you ponder this weekend:

let your business be a reflection
of your ongoing journey.

Allow it to grow in unexpected directions, to shed the old skin that no longer fits, and to mirror who you are today—not who you were when you first started. It's not about abandoning your past, but about listening to the quiet call of what’s next. The more we allow ourselves to evolve and our businesses to follow, the more powerful our work and impact will be because it will come from the most authentic version of ourselves. That’s creativity at its core!

Okay, soap box over! If you’ve made it this far, thanks for indulging me as I share random things on my heart and mind. If any of this stirs something in you, I’d love to hear about it—just hit reply.
