If you’re not sharing affiliate links with your audience….What are you waiting for?

If you have a personal brand of any kind (as opposed to a “company” brand), it’s time. No matter your industry! There’s no requirement to be a fashion blogger. Last week I literally purchased a pack of Command Strips linked by a favorite Instagram account; the sky is your limit.

Been avoiding this so far because you don’t have 10k followers? That ancient requirement is long gone! It’s super easy to apply for both LTK and ShopMy.

And below is a really quick tutorial for how to add affiliate links to your Squarespace site.

Add a Curated Collection from ShopMy or LTK

Sharing a curated collection of products is a great way to showcase “staple” items you love, and you don’t have to update too often.

Step 1: Create Your Collection in ShopMy or LTK

  1. Log in to your ShopMy or LTK account.

  2. Create a new collection (or “shelf” in ShopMy) by selecting the products you want to feature. Once you've built your collection, grab the embed code. This can be found in your dashboard under "Share" or "Embed."

Step 2: Embed the Collection in Squarespace

  1. Log into your Squarespace account and navigate to the page where you want to display your collection. (We recommend a Shop page with headers that link to different collections.)

  2. Click “Edit” and choose where you’d like to place your collection on the page.

  3. Add a new block by clicking the “+” icon, and select the Embed block from the menu.

  4. Paste the collection’s embed code from ShopMy or LTK into the block, and hit “Apply.”

  5. Preview the page to see how your collection will look, then click “Save” or “Publish” to make it live.

Add Specific Affiliate Links in Blog Posts

This is a better option if you write blog posts and want to include affiliate links to specific products featured in said post.

Step 1: Generate an Affiliate Link

  1. In your ShopMy or LTK account, find the specific product you want to feature and generate an affiliate link. You can also do this through Amazon.

  2. Copy the link or the short embed code for that product.

Step 2: Add the Link to Your Blog Post

  1. Navigate to the blog post editor in Squarespace where you’d like to insert the affiliate link.

  2. Within the text of your post, highlight the text you want to link (e.g., “Check out this perfect sweater I’m loving!”).

  3. Click the Link icon in the toolbar and paste your affiliate link.

  4. Click Save or Publish to make your post live.

Including affiliate links directly in your blog posts allows you to subtly share products with your readers as part of your content, while also creating an opportunity to monetize your posts. Win, win!
