Meet Madison Whiteneck!
Madison is a virtual assistant, keeping business owners’ creativity flowing and freeing them to pursue their core passions by creating intuitive task management systems that take the pressure off. In case you’re getting to that stage of business ownership where the tyranny of the urgent is robbing you of joy, freedom, or meaningful growth, we asked Madison a few questions to help you feel out your options.
How do I know when I'm ready to hire a virtual assistant?
“Even if your interest is just slightly piqued, you might be ready! It’s often better to get ahead of this need–AKA, start offloading small things gradually and while all still feels under control, so that as your responsibilities grow, you and your virtual assistant stay on the same page and nobody gets too overwhelmed.”

What kinds of things can I outsource to my virtual assistant?
“So many! Plus, different kinds of virtual assistants specialize in different things, so you can feel confident that you’re outsourcing to a subject matter expert. Out there in the world are administrative virtual assistants (handling your inbox, files, appointments, scheduling, note-taking, etc.), social media virtual assistants (handling content creation, post scheduling, engagement, etc.), customer service virtual assistants (handling communication on behalf of e-commerce stores, etc.), design virtual assistants (handling graphic creation, file packaging, etc.), and you get the idea. You can outsource just about anything you want.”

How much do virtual assistants typically charge?
“It varies! You can find virtual assistant services for as low as $15/hour or up to $100/hour. Rate will largely depend on the person’s particularly specialty, and can also be a great indicator of efficiency, productivity, and professionalism. Most of the time, it’s worth it not to skimp!”
How do I find a virtual assistant?
“You can try searching social media (search ‘VA’ on Instagram or Facebook), online directories, Upwork, Fiverr, etc.”
